Sugar Low/Azucar baja

El barbudo es mi hijo Jared. The bearded one is Jared, my son.


Another day, another adventure. Last night I went to bed as usual, but woke up in the middle of the night anxious and agitated. I knew that I was having a sugar low so I went to the kitchen and got my meter to test my blood, and sure enough, my sugar had dropped to below 60. I opened the fridge, where I usually keep my apple juice and I couldn’t find any juice. I found a half empty bottle of juice and guzzled that down as quickly as I could. By now, I was sweating profusely from the sugar low and then started to shiver from the cold. By the time I got the sugar level settled it was about 2 a.m. I went back to bed and fell asleep like a little baby until about 9 a.m..

Last week before my operation, I took pictures of JJ at his baseball game and thought I would share a couple of them with you to see how he plays. As you may know, one of my hobbies is taking pictures. I love to shoot as often as I can. Click on the pictures to see them better.

Otro día, otra aventura. Anoche me acosté temprano, pero no dormí mucho. Como a media noche me desperté agitado y supe que se me había bajado la azúcar en la sangre. Me fui a la concina y me revise la sangre y tenía la azúcar a menos de 60 puntos. Me fui al refrigerador a buscar el jugo de manzana que guardo allí pero no lo encontré. Parece que Mary se había tomado parte del jugo y me dejo como cuatro onzas en una botella de jugo. Bueno, como estaba bien baja la azúcar, me tome el jugo luego luego y para entonces estaba sudando por la falta de azúcar. Al fin, anivele la azúcar como a las 2 de la mañana y me fui a acostar. Para entonces, ya estaba bien cansado y me quede dormido hasta como las 9 de la mañana. Me hacia falta el descanso.
